    WILLIAM PARRY 1743-1791 - A pair of portrait miniatures, of Robert Williames Vaughan, aged 11, and his younger brother, Griffith Howell Vaughan, aged 9, silhouettes in coloured chalks, approximately 3 inches x 1.5 inches, contained within the original moulded oval hardwood frames, probably pearwood, 5 inches x 4 inches overall, each inscribed and identified to the reverse, dated 1779.

Robert, aged c. 60, head and shoulders, to the right, in painted oval, wearing a deep lace collar and pale-puce “Vandyke” suit, with oval portrait medallion suspended from a blue ribbon, top left, the arms of Vaughan of Hengwrt, quarterly of four. Inscribed top right, Robert Howell Vaughan. Of Hengwrt & Nannau in Com. Merioneth Esqr.

    Gruffudd Nanney of Nannau 1611-1655 - A portrait of Gruffudd Nanney, half length, head to the right, wearing a brown cloak with embroidered cross belt, white collar and grey hat, clasping a sword with his left hand, an inkwell and open ledger together with another book displaying an unusual Masonic or Merchants mark, by his side, oil on oak panel, indistinctly inscribed / signed, dated 1644, 26.375 inches x 21.75 inches, contained in gilt gesso moulded frame.
